Obscure OSes

Anyone ever mess with any of the following OSes?

http://www.templeos.org/
https://www.haiku-os.org/

Plan9 I've played with, Temple OS never have.

it is obscure OS so exploit are rare and probability to get hacked is very thin. BUT : software compatiblity is probably limited . YMMV .

openbsd is very secure : Only two remote holes in the default install, in a heck of a long time!

Security by obscurity is not security. People constantly looking for exploits in a system mean they exploits are constantly being patched by the authors whereas systems that are rarely attacked undoubtedly have a ton of exploits available that aren't patched and likely won't be for a very long time, if ever. An attacker targeting you or anyone using the obscure OS can find exploits easier and take advantage of them longer in this sort of ecosystem.

What about ReactOS?  It is a windows clone of some kind... no?

ReactOS is like Windows Server 2003 but they have been kind of going nowhere despite being around for so long
