I've always wondered what are the pros and cons for each?  I am considering using Imessage instead of Signal, but heard Signal is very good for security.  Which one?

iMessage is proprietary, so there's no real way to know that the messages can't be snooped on. At the very least, Signal is open-source, so you can at least see what is going on in the background. If you want a real secure messaging app, use one that supports XMPP+OMEMO/OTR.

Keybase is good as well. Uses PGP and they at least claim not to store your private key in an accessible way.
